As for the Crystal Ball’s prediction, it predicted this one right as it predicted a win for Tatsuro Taira 🔮
Taira is the real deal. I’ve been singing his praises on the podcast whenever he’s up to fight. This kid just keeps getting better.

UFC LAS VEGAS
🇰🇷Park Hyun-Sung vs Shannon Ross🇦🇺
Another prelim fighter we had our eye on was Park Hyun-Sung, the South Korean went up against Shannon Ross and he didn’t disappoint proving that he is going to be another problem in the UFC’s flyweight division 👊
Park, known for his striking skills, showcased his prowess with jabs and low kicks, while Ross sought effective pocket combinations. The exchanges were intense, with both fighters finding moments of success.
Park's clean right hand had Ross on unsteady ground, but Ross, displaying resilience, retaliated with a punch that sent Park to the mat. What ensued was a grappling battle, with Park taking Ross's back, applying a body-triangle, and hunting for a rear-naked choke. Despite multiple close calls, Ross defended tenaciously and survived the round.
The second round saw Ross initiating with strong combinations, but Park's footwork and striking precision allowed him to turn the tide. A well-timed left hook rocked Ross, and Park capitalized on the opportunity, landing knees and short elbows in the clinch. Despite Ross's resilience, Park's advantage on the feet became increasingly apparent.
As the round progressed, a body shot from Park set the stage for a spectacular finish. Two left hooks to the body folded Ross, and a few ground strikes sealed the deal. This marked Park's first UFC win post-Road to UFC and his inaugural knockout within the promotion.
Hyun Sung Park's ability to finish fights, whether on the ground or on the feet, adds an exciting dynamic to the flyweight division, making him a fighter to watch in the lighter weight classes 🪶
The Crystal Ball’s prediction you ask? It also got this one correct by predicting a KO victroy for Park Hyun-Sung 🔮
PFL DUBLIN
🏴Lewis McGrillen vs Weslley Maia🇧🇷
In PFL Dublin all fans of UK MMA were tuned into this one with 2 of the most promising UK talents on display and it didn’t disappoint as we got a 3 round classic in PFL Dublin 🔥
The initial moments of the first round saw both fighters cautiously feeling each other out. As the fight progressed and confidence grew, Maia found success with some well-timed right hands, rocking McGrillen in the process. Maia's strategic use of right body kicks, particularly effective against the southpaw stance of McGrillen, added to the striking dynamics. Towards the end of the round, Maia secured a double-leg takedown, maintaining top pressure and landing ground and pound 👊
Entering the second round, Maia continued his aggressive approach, capitalizing on McGrillen's entries with precision strikes. A thunderous right kick to the head showcased Maia's striking arsenal, but McGrillen's durability kept him in the fight. Although Maia displayed signs of fatigue, McGrillen defended subsequent takedown attempts, preventing a potential finish.
Realizing the urgency in the final round, McGrillen pressed forward, unleashing powerful left hands against the cage. Despite Maia's visible fatigue, he showcased effective defense and counters, utilizing inside low kicks. In a strategic move, McGrillen aimed to maintain relentless pressure. While Maia sought takedowns to secure the victory, McGrillen's defense and continuous pressure created a compelling exchange on the feet.
Ultimately, Maia secured a unanimous decision victory on short notice (28-27, 28-27, 28-27), marking a successful debut in the PFL. The Crystal Ball, unfortunately, didn't foresee this outcome, underestimating Maia's ability to adapt and perform under challenging circumstances ❌
PFL DUBLIN
🇮🇪Dylan Tuke vs Yazid Chouchane🇫🇷
In the main card of PFL Dublin we had our eye on hometown boy Dylan Tuke who was up against French striker Yazid Chouchane and the crowd was loving every second of it 🇮🇪
The opening round unfolded at a measured pace, with Dylan Tuke employing elusive footwork to frustrate Chouchane, who attempted to connect with wild strikes. Tuke's strategy of constant movement and slick defensive maneuvers kept Chouchane at bay. However, a well-timed right hand from Chouchane disrupted Tuke's balance, showcasing the Frenchman's power. As the round progressed, Chouchane's frustration grew, leading to him pressing forward recklessly—exactly the scenario Tuke had aimed to create. Tuke capitalized on this, incorporating more kicks and exploiting Chouchane's reactions 👊
The second round witnessed heightened action as Tuke executed a well-placed body kick, destabilizing Chouchane. Seizing the opportunity, Chouchane entered Tuke's guard, but Tuke swiftly reversed the position, landing in Chouchane's half guard. From this advantageous ground position, Tuke delivered effective ground and pound, prompting Chouchane to give up his back. Tuke capitalized on the mistake, securing a body triangle and sinking in a rear-naked choke. The fight concluded at 2:36 in the second round as Chouchane tapped.
True to the Crystal Ball's prediction, Dylan Tuke emerged victorious, igniting a celebration in "The Flats." 🔮
