This Weekends Prospect watch👊 - UFC Las Vegas 83, PFL Dublin.

GM fight fans and welcome to this weekends edition of prospect watch, this weekend we have a lot of choice with having both UFC Las Vegas and PFL Dublin on show over the weekend. So without further ramble lets get into it 👊 🧙

UFC LAS VEGAS
🇯🇵Tatsuro Taira vs Carlos Hernandez🇺🇸

In the prelims of UFC Las Vegas we have our eye on Japanese youngster Tatsuro Taira (14-0) who is up against Carlos Hernandez (9-2). Taira is considered to be one of Asia's brightest talents with a professional record of 14-0 and he has been a part of the UFC for a little over 18 months, fighting four times 🇯🇵

Despite being the underdog, Hernandez has raised eyebrows among MMA connoisseurs. With a well-rounded skill set, many believe he could spring a colossal upset, provided he keeps the fight standing and applies relentless pressure on Taira.

Taira, with his comfortable striking display in the last bout against Edgar Cháirez, might opt for takedowns, exploiting Hernandez's perceived weakness in defensive wrestling. A ground maestro, Taira's offensive Jiu-Jitsu is a sight to behold, keeping his opponent uneasy in any ground scenario.

Hernandez poses a significant challenge, especially in the stand-up department. Taira's past opponents, while respectable, don't quite measure up to Hernandez's crisp boxing prowess. 🥊

To counter Taira's grappling dominance, Hernandez needs to showcase improved defensive wrestling and unleash heavy leg kicks early on to nullify takedown attempts. The key will be applying relentless pressure to wear down the young and talented Taira.

But, according to The Cage Chronicle’s mystical Crystal Ball, the prophecy points to a decision victory for Tatsuro Taira, elevating his professional record to a flawless 15-0. 🔮

UFC LAS VEGAS
🇰🇷Park Hyun-Sung vs Shannon Ross🇦🇺

Another fighter on the UFC Las Vegas prelims that has caught our eye is Park Hyun-Sung (8-0) who this weekends goes up against Shannon Ross (12-8). Hyun Sung Park, carrying an unblemished record of 8-0, dazzled on the "Road to UFC" with back-to-back first-round finishes. The Sin City finale against compatriot Seung Guk Choi showcased Park's resilience, rebounding from a second-round scare to secure a triumphant chokeout in the final minutes.

Park's recent seven victories, all concluded within the distance, highlight his versatility, with four wins via submission 🥋

Shannon Ross, despite a brutal knockout by Vinicius Salvador on Contender Series, earned his UFC stripes, impressing Dana White with his gritty performance. Yet to secure an Octagon victory, Ross faced consecutive stoppage losses in just 1:16 to Kleydson Rodrigues and Jesus Aguilar.

Standing an inch shorter than his opponent, Ross enters the bout against Park, who, while not setting the world ablaze in his last outing, possesses the essential tools for overcoming Ross. Notably, Park demonstrates sturdy takedown defense and proficient boxing skills 🥊

Ross, on the other hand, has struggled in recent outings, succumbing to strikes in five consecutive fights. Park seems poised to exploit Ross's vulnerabilities, making it four brutal knockout losses in a row with a precision counter early in the match.

As for the Crystal Balls prediction, it predicts a early 1st round KO for Park Hyun-Sung to move him to 9-0 🔮

PFL DUBLIN
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Lewis McGrillen vs Weslley Maia🇧🇷

Next up on our prospect watch we have a pair of fighters that are on our radar on PFL Dublin, In one corner we have Lewis McGrillen (8-0) who is going up against Weslley Maia (8-5). McGrillen, hailing from Manchester Top Team, is the undefeated sensation with a knack for turning every fight into a highlight reel. Eight pro bouts, eight victories, and each time, he's sent his opponents to dreamland with a KO in the first or second round! Mind-blowing, isn't it? 🤯

Facing off against him is the London warrior, Wessley Maia (GB Top Team), on a winning streak, clinching victories in his last two bouts, including a slick 2nd-round submission in Cage Warriors. The tension between these two has been building, and at the weigh-ins, words flew faster than McGregor's left hook, with Maia even tossing a cheeky slap at McGrillen! Revenge is on the menu 🍽️

Maia, the seasoned campaigner, is likely eyeing the ground game, aiming to control McGrillen and avoid the striking showdown. Mixing boxing with takedowns will be his strategy, but he can't afford to be lazy with those shots, considering McGrillen's takedown defense.

McGrillen, the knockout artist, seeks to keep it standing, unleashing bombs with both hands. His power is a force to be reckoned with, and he'll be strategizing to maintain distance, avoiding the grappling clutches of Maia.

And now, drumroll for the Crystal Ball's prediction! It foresees a colossal McGrillen KO in the second round, turning the lights out in spectacular fashion! 🔮

PFL DUBLIN
🇮🇪Dylan Tuke vs Yazid Chouchane🇫🇷

Next up on our PFL Dublin radar we have Dylan Tuke (6-4) who this weekend goes up against Yazd Chouchane (10-3). Tuke, now under the Higher Level MMA banner in Scotland, has been on a tear, showcasing significant improvement in his last two bouts. The Nuke's potential has always been evident, and he's been living up to it, especially with a stunning victory over the 10-0 prospect Connor Hughes. Although he faced a narrow defeat against Jakub Kaszuba in the lightweight challengers tournament, he's eager to reclaim victory against the Frenchman.

Chouchane, hailing from Marseille Fight Club, is no stranger to aggression. Despite not encountering opponents of Tuke's caliber, his scrappy style and prowess on the feet have earned him respect. The betting odds suggest a closely contested match, and Chouchane is here to prove a point.

Tuke has evolved into a formidable wrestler and a striking virtuoso, flaunting creative striking and a powerful left hand. His game plan might echo his strategic bout against Connor Hughes – patience, well-timed strikes, and calculated takedowns. With his deceptive height (closer to 6ft despite the official listing at 5’6), Tuke aims to dance around the cage, evading Chouchane's aggressive bursts 🕺

Chouchane, on the flip side, plans to apply relentless pressure, utilizing his wrestling to wear down Tuke. The clinch will be his ally, slowing down Tuke's nimble footwork and testing his gas tank.

And now, the moment you've been waiting for – the Crystal Ball's prediction! It foresees an intense battle going the distance, ultimately declaring Dylan Tuke as the victor! 🔮
