Extra fight at UFC 296

In a dramatic turn of events at UFC 296, middleweight champion Sean Strickland found himself involved in a brawl with his upcoming opponent, Dricus du Plessis, leading to his removal from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Strickland was present to watch the headlining bout between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan reported the altercation between Strickland and du Plessis during the live TV broadcast. Videos captured the incident, showing Strickland leaping over seats to attack his rival, delivering punches and elbows as onlookers tried to intervene. Security eventually separated the two fighters, allowing the card to proceed without further disruptions ๐Ÿคฏ

Sean Strickland, known for his entertaining yet controversial persona, has faced criticism for various actions, including releasing footage of his sparring knockouts, making controversial statements, and engaging in provocative trash talk. Earlier in the year, Strickland secured a significant upset by defeating Israel Adesanya to become the UFC's middleweight champion.

The upcoming clash between Strickland and du Plessis on January 20 at UFC 297 has gained heightened anticipation due to their recent altercation, adding an extra layer of intensity to their middleweight showdown. ๐Ÿ‘Š

NEWS
Paddy Pimblettโ€™s message to Logan Paul

UFC star Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett has responded emphatically to Logan Paul's recent callout for an MMA fight. The two have a history of interactions dating back to 2022 when Logan first expressed interest in facing Pimblett. However, Paddy has now made it clear that he has no interest in engaging with Logan, advising him to stick to "fake fighting" in WWE.

Pimblett went on to make bold statements, claiming that if he were to fight Logan Paul, he'd snap the WWE United States Champion's knee ligament in "12 places," rendering him "unable to walk." Paddy drew from his own experience of spending a year out with a broken foot, emphasizing the severity of the potential injury. He also referred to Logan as a "juice head," implying the use of performance-enhancing substances, and called him a "tool." ๐Ÿคฏ

While Paddy Pimblett had previously shown openness to a fight with Logan Paul, his recent comments suggest a shift in attitude, perhaps fueled by his rising success in the UFC. Pimblett seems confident in his own potential star power within the UFC and doesn't see the need to engage with the Paul brothers for recognition.

In addition, Paddy cast doubt on the authenticity of Logan Paul's previous fight against Dillon Danis, suggesting it might have been staged, given the perceived lack of action. Overall, Paddy Pimblett's response reflects his strong disapproval of Logan Paul's endeavors, from fake fighting to staged boxing, signaling a lack of interest in any potential matchup. ๐Ÿ‘Š

NEWS
New UFC star can already see himself with the title

Former Bellator standout Michael "Venom" Page has officially signed with the UFC, and he's wasting no time jumping into the deep end of the welterweight division. Page, known for his flashy striking, has agreed to make his UFC debut at UFC 299 in Miami next March. He'll face the #12-ranked welterweight contender, Kevin Holland. ๐Ÿ‘Š

Page's move to the UFC was confirmed by Dana White during a press conference following UFC 296. The flashy striker had entered free agency after completing his contract with Bellator, where he competed 19 times between 2013 and 2023.

Expressing his aspirations for a quick ascent in the UFC, Page drew inspiration from Michael Chandler, who also made a successful transition from Bellator to the UFC. Page emphasized that his ultimate goal is to secure a high-profile showdown with reigning UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards in the United Kingdom. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

During an appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Page outlined his ambitions and compared his approach to the path taken by Chandler. He stressed the desire to create excitement and make a significant impact in the UFC. Page's debut against Kevin Holland at UFC 299 sets the stage for his journey in the welterweight division, and if he can replicate the success of fighters like Chandler, a title shot might not be far off.

Page expressed his eagerness for a potential showdown with Leon Edwards, envisioning a blockbuster fight between two British fighters in the UK. As he put it, "I'm here for a good time, not a long time. I just wanna come in and make as much noise as possible." ๐Ÿคฏ
