This weeks fight night forecast - PFL Paris🇫🇷
GM fight fans and welcome to part 1 of Fight Night forecast! 🌟 This week promises an abundance of thrilling matchups, so we're splitting it into a 2-parter. First up, let's dive into Thursday night's main attraction: PFL Paris! 🇫🇷 This marks PFL Europe's inaugural event of the year, and boy, do they have an exciting card lined up for us.
In the main event, brace yourself for an electrifying showdown between two undefeated Frenchmen. Plus, we're kicking off the PFL Europe lightweight tournament with a bang, featuring last year's champion against a promising newcomer making his PFL debut. And that's not all! Keep your eyes peeled for some stellar matchups showcasing emerging talents from the UK and Europe. So without further ramble, let’s get into it 👊
PFL PARIS
⚡️Doumbe vs Chamsoudinov🇫🇷
Cedric Doumbe (Left) and Baysangur Chamsoudinov (Right)
The main event at this Thursday's PFL Paris card is set to be an epic welterweight showdown between former kickboxing world champion Cedric Doumbe (5-0) and undefeated French prospect Baysangur Chamsoudinov (7-0). Doumbe, fresh off a sensational PFL debut win against Jordan Zebo in September, has MMA fans buzzing after finishing Zebo in a lightning-fast 9 seconds. ⚡️However, Doumbe faces a tough challenge in Chamsoudinov, known as "Baki", who boasts an impressive record of 7 straight pro wins, many in the prestigious French promotion Ares. Baki's aggressive style and powerful left hand pose a threat to Doumbe, especially in the clinch and takedown department.
Doumbe's game plan will likely revolve around keeping the fight standing, utilizing his elite striking skills to secure another quick KO victory. ⚡️ To do so, he'll need to thwart Baki's clinch attempts and maintain distance with his kicks and punches. Targeting Baki's lead leg could also prove effective in deterring his forward pressure and takedown attempts. 🤼
In contrast, Baki will look to close the distance and engage in the clinch, where he can capitalize on his strength and grappling abilities. However, Doumbe's superior striking pedigree may prove too much for Baki to handle, ultimately leading to another first-round KO victory for the Frenchman 🇫🇷👊
PFL PARIS
🇫🇷Abdoul Abdouraguimov vs Jack Grant🏴
Abdoul Abdouraguimov (Left( and Jack Grant (Right)
In the co-main event of this PFL Paris card we have another welterweight fight this time between former Ares 2 weight champion Abdoul Abdouraguimov “Lazy King” (17-1) going against the experienced Englishman Jack Grant (19-7). The “Lazy King” is coming off his first PFL win in September where he beat Brad Wheeler by rear naked choke in the 1st round to create a lot of hype around him. But now he is getting a real test in PFL going up against Jack Grant who is no bum, Grant has fought a lot of big names such as Ian Garry in cage warriors for the welterweight title and will be a good first test for the “Lazy king” in the PFL 😴
The “Lazy King” has the smothering Dagestani wrestling style where he has great top control where he can strike but also look for some dangerous submissions. All of the “Lazy King’s” last 7 win have all been finishes so expect nothing less than a quick finish from the Frenchman 🇫🇷.
Jack Grant is the more experienced of the 2 fighters although he has a few more losses than the “Lazy King” he shouldn’t be counted out as Grant is great grappler himself and has knockout power to be able to put the “Lazy King” to sleep 😴
for our prediction we are going against the experience of Grant and going with the Frenchman Abdoul Abdouragumov 🇫🇷
